National Van Lines and your driver were awesome. Moving Agent was not.

communication from the movers was not very good. They were great truck packers and unpackers but arrived late on both ends with terrible communication

All but one item was delivered in tact. Pickup window was not confirmed until an hour before the truck arrived. The office only sent one person to move the apartment, and I had to help with the couple heaviest items - can you imagine the liability if either he or we got hurt moving these out of the apartment because National did not have two people sent for pickup? Because of this, a two hour pickup took almost five. The delivery was delayed by a day after confirmation of the previous day due to faulty hardware (truck driver phone).

Very dissatisfied and disappointed. We were assured our 2 pieces of furniture would be wrapped for safety but were not and an antique chair was broken when boxed items fell onto it. The company had truck problems and our items were transferred from one truck to another at least once and maybe twice permanently damaging the boxes to the point they had to be re taped closed. The driver was very nice and apologetic but it didn’t do much to quell my huge disappointment.

Good service for the most part. Was told I had a light load, so Id be charged around 4K. Depending on the weight of all my stuff. I barely had anything, and the movers got it loaded in less than 2 hours. Still ended up spending over $5,000 dollars. Good service, on time, everything went well. Way way way too expensive.

Not on time

My delivery was way past the delivery window, they did not bring enough materials for my move. Nothing was shrink wrapped for stability. My truck was damaged but since there was never an inspection done so of course no proof. My truck was picked up late.

One box is still lost. And I had to pay $160 for Boston parking permits to make sure the 70-ft truck had space on the street. I would think the moving company should figure out the parking situation / cover the costs.

I had a great experience with Eric Wright throughout the entire process. He was awesome and made me feel so confident in my move. I would rate his performance more than 5 stars if I could. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience was not great. National Van Lines moved my items into a storage unit in Columbus prior to moving out to California. The movers who completed that portion of the move did not wrap furniture appropriately, thus leaving my furniture dusty and some damaged. They moved every thing into the storage unit carelessly and stacked things that should not have been stacked- for example, my wardrobe boxes were completely crushed down by the time they came to California, my sofa was not wrapped and now it is stained, and my . They showed 0 care and consideration for my items. Then came the move out to California. Dan did not appear to be physically (and questionably mentally) capable of moving anything. He had 1 guy there to assist him who was fantastic. I would give his part ner Eric out here 5 stars. Dan did not create an accurate ledger of my items in Columbus. He simply wrote "poorly" for numerous boxes so that when the time came for me to note items that were missing, there was no way to track which boxes those were. He insisted that there was no way he delivered my items to someone else's home, and yet he had delivered two items that were not mine to me, insisting they were mine even though I told him I did not recognize them. He was wildly unprofessional- sat at my dining table without asking, smelled of smoke, was coughing excessively, and refused to leave until I signed off that he had delivered all of my items when in fact he hadn't. He brought in one of my tables broken, and claimed it was wobbly to begin with, when my mom (who met him in Columbus) said he never mentioned that to her. He claimed the knob on my expensive media stand was crooked to my mom (that it was like that before), but he told me a story that one of his movers in Columbus bump ed it with their hand when loading it onto the truck. I am grateful for Eric Wright and his professional nature. He was fantastic to work with, communicated clearly, and was able to get my items shipped out to California much earlier than expected. My experience with the physical movers was so poor that I would give them 0 stars if I could. I am wildly disappointed with both the move into the storage unit and the move out to California. I have filed a claim for my missing items, but I am not hol ding my breath that they will be found. Unfortunately, because the movers were so poor, I would highly recommend someone not use National Van Lines even though Eric Wright was amazing to work with.
