Customer Testimonials

Booking agent discussed all aspects of packing. Are loading and unloading was completed as scheduled per Carlos. Both of us were concerned with the speed of one of the young men loading and unloading. Luckily no damage was done. At the completion there was an item missing. It was a Little Giant 3 step ladder. It was ordered and received but it was only a 2 step ladder which we did accept. We would use all agents and would recommend all to others

Setting up our move was very easy and everything went smoothly. The cost was cheaper than other quotes received I wasnt informed at the outset that it could take 2 weeks for our shipment to arrive, however ours ended up coming directly to us and arrived within hours of our own arrival. The two movers that arrived with our things were very courteous and worked hard to get everything where we wanted it. I would have liked to see more wrappings on our furniture, especially our wood antique p ieces that were only given a simple Seran wrap and nothing done to protect the corners. Because of this we do have some damage done to several pieces. Overall a positive experience and we would use their services again with a few changes.

Michael Hartung was great to work with. He was always responsive throughout the process and quickly returned calls and fielded all questions. The move itself was not as smooth. On the front end the move was delayed when it was realized that there was a weight limit on the bridges leading to our home and that they needed to find trucks. The person who I assumed was going to be the driver was not the driver when the furniture arrived. I thought that information of the timing of receipt of i nformation about when the truck would arrive could have been better. I was told the truck would arrive at 9 am. When 11 rolled around I called asking the status and was informed he would be 4 hours late. I thought I should have been informed not me asking. The driver would not back down the street, so the crew was one house away and had to bring the furniture through the yard. There was only one member of the crew who spoke some English. He stayed on the truck. This required me to be outsid e and direct where items should go even though boxes were marked. We had a language barrier. The move finished in the dark. My son pointed out there was still a piece of furniture laying in the street as the crew was wrapping up. The piece was damaged. I found three ladders lying in alongside of the road. One was the drivers. As I said, it was dark and could not see in the truck. Over the following two days I found we were missing three items. They were found in the truck in Georgia. I was told they would be on a truck going to W. Virginia on the 26th of December. I called and left a message on the 30th asking the status. These items will now be here around the 15th. Once again, I thought that the company should have been more proactive in keeping me up to date. An example of how damage could have been avoided is our upright freezer. The 8-month-old upright freezer has a crease in the door and place where the skin is missing, and you can see insulation. When the crew m ember was bringing the freezer in the banket had been removed and the door was against the dolly.

The upfront was great. Fantastic communication. On the backend, the driver was by himself and needed my brothers assistance to move the furniture from the truck into the house. This was not the plan. But other than that everything was painless.

Scheduling was very flexible. Packing and unpacking was well done. Would have been better to have had a third person packing in Charlotte like we had unpacking in Birmingham.

Reps were friendly. The movers were kind. The unloaders were kind too. The unloaders didnt put my mattress back together although I originally requested for my bed to be disassembled and reassembled. Other than that I had no other problems.

This company was amazing, thank you.

Great experience, except for the packing of lamps.

The packers, movers, driver, and the folks who unpacked and re-assembled were all great. It was a great experience working with them and I couldn't be happier with the care they took to make our move a great experience. However the billing and invoicing side of the move has been nothing short of ambiguous. I was never presented with the actual total weight of the items on load or unload. I am expected to just trust their number which is suspiciously were close to the estimate. There are also co sts that show up which are explained very differently from how they were explained during the quote. I wish there was more upfront transparency on the line items in the final invoice.

The move overall was timely and efficient although there was some damage to a few items and the loss of a floor lamp which we will note on our claims report.

Wrapped everything very well but lacked specific info on item/room. Did not reassemble all unassembled items at delivery.

The men whom we met all did a great job packing and protecting our furniture and boxed possessions. Unloading at our new home appeared to go well too. Afterward, we discovered significant damage which should have been easily avoided. 1) one of our two leather desk chairs had a metal and wood trimmed leg bent nearly 90. We could not bend it back. The wood was broken too. 2) our white living room sofa must have been placed on its side and dragged. The corners are dirty and one foot is badly scraped. 3) our sofa bed was also set on its side. The faux suede fabric was badly soiled and torn. 4) one of two end tables was smashed! and 5) there are dings and marks on many wood pieces. We are glad that you have a claims person coming to see the damage on June 3.

The Local NY/CT based Coordinator was great in calling to schedule the delivery, coordinate building access, etc. The day of the move, the movers did contact us to advise their arrival, and observed the rules of the building access/common areas. They were polite, and responsive to requests when directed to take care of items being carried in, or when asked to put in a particular location. Two furniture pieces did suffer minor damage at some point between departing storage in Chicago and b eing delivered (i noticed after they left). One opportunity for improvement would be as it related to moving large items into rooms where access is limited. There were a few times I needed to slow them down as they were taking furniture large pieces upstairs, and nearly hit the hallway walls, and overhead chandeliers. Also as moving sofa pieces (around a corner through a door, where the walls have delicate hand-carved plaster framing around a decorative built in mirror) a couple of tim es they nearly hit/damaged plaster detailing on walls. I was watching and discussing with them as they went, and they did slow down/stop when asked. The crew supervisor was helpful in that manner when i shared concerns, and he provided good oversight at that point. , Once I brought up my concerns, they were very accommodating. Also, as our renovation contractor was on site, and stepped in to suggest removing doors/hardware to increase access to the room, and the walls were not damaged. Overall, a very good job, friendly crew that seemed motivated to please, but also opportunity to be a little more careful and assess surroundings to avoid potential damage. Would use your company again.
