Customer Testimonials
This is the first time that I have moved since 1996, and my move was cross country. My National Van Lines sales contact, Dennis Leash, thoroughly explained the process to me and was always available to promptly address any questions and concerns. The move was completed within the specified timeframe. The lead mover, Kenny Williams, and the movers helping him on each coast were wonderful. Everyone at National Van Lines provided a prompt response to my calls and emails and were delightful to w ork with. Overall, I had a great customer experience with National Van Lines.
Hello,
Our experience with the local partners, Berea Moving in Cleveland and Main Street Movers in New York was flawless, as was most every encounter with NVL until we got to move-in day. As we were relocating out-of-state, 450 miles away, it seemed important to us to know the actual arrival date. We understand that we had a delivery window of pick-up on Mon, Mar 31 to delivery Mon, April 7. Pick-up and packing arrived as promised with a call the previous day informing us of the time. The crew was efficient and professional emptying our stuff in 3 hours. We were told to contact Berea for specifics on delivery date. They told us, as did our agent and assistant representative, that delivery would be Mon, April 7. We weren't happy with that but understood that this was within the range of the contract. On that same day (Mar 31) we received a call from Main Street Movers telling us that the delivery would be on Fri, April 4. But just to make sure I contacted our agent to report this; he r esponded on April 1 (April Fools Day) "Good morning. Great to hear. Thank you." The driver called on Wed, Apr 2, to report they would arrive between 8 - 9 am on Friday the 4th. We made a hotel reservation midway (we were travelling in 2 cars with a dog) for Thurs, April 3, and began madly preparing to leave on that day so we could arrive with the movers on Fri, April 4. On Thurs, April 3, as we were very close to leaving, we received an email from the assistant representative that the delivery w ould be on Monday, April 7. A follow-up phone call to the assistant rep told us we had the wrong info. What to do? Who to believe? I tried to reach out to our usually very responsive agent...crickets. So, we decided we had to stay put till Saturday, April 5, and changed our hotel reservation to that day. Our son, who lives in New York, our destination city, was planning on being at our new place to manage the gas man and the internet installer. He was there at 8 am. So was Main Street Movers wit h our stuff. We called NVL to report this fact, but were told it was still scheduled for Monday! We changed our hotel reservation, again, to Friday, April 4, to make our way to New York as quickly as we could. So, all-in-all National Van Lines performed the actual moving in an excellent fashion. What National Van Lines didn't do, was connect to Main Street Movers so as to reassure us that our information WAS correct, that our stuff would be there by Friday, April 4. Nor were they interested in reaching out to us after the fact. The additional stress imposed by their certainty that they had the correct information was unnecessary, and surely could have been avoided. It should be noted that, had our son not been there, our stuff would have gone into storage, for which I'm pretty sure NVL would have charged us.
The 2 gentlemen who picked up our items in Edgewater Florida were outstanding. They did an excellent job, were very professional and conscientious. Very friendly and responded to any questions that we had. I would recommend these two gentlemen to anyone if you are lucky enough to get them to move your items. I cannot respond to the movers who delivered the items to NY because I wasnt there but my son-in-law said they did an excellent job putting the items in the storage facility. Only problem wa s one box was missing and we will not know until we are able to review the items that were delivered. Also Ms. Crystal Merriweather who we have been dealing with over the phone was tremendous. She helped us with the whole process and you cannot find another person who did do much for us to make a smooth transition. 10 stars go to her and we would use National Van Lines and RT Relocators if need be in the future. Thanks to all of you to make our move successful.
My story: I moved to Whidbey Island in 2021 to work my last 4 years before retirement. I completed the time and on Spring 2025 I reached for household goods relocation back to FL. Regardless of the excruciating Florida sun, Mr. Brian O'Mally and James provided a professional, friendly, and client centric type of service. The were gentle, communicative throughout the process (I was never left wondering). Definitely recommend National Van Lines. Thank you.
