The movers in Auburn were efficient, kind, and professional. They wrapped my furniture, stickered my belongings and packed my artwork. The driver did not contact me until Feb 10th with an estimate arrival date of Tuesday 2/14. I went to my apartment to wait for his arrival. I finally called the company for an update. He wasn't coming until Wed. Due to inclement weather coming across the US he finally arrived on Thursday. He and his coworker unloaded as quickly as possible. I noticed my painting was not readily noticeable so I moved boxes after the driver left to find it. No luck. I filed a claim immediately hoping the oil painting would be at one of the other two homes packed on the truck. When the driver finished I tried to pay and he thought I had already paid. A2B Movers should have told someone that I was charging it. After some phone calls and assistance from National office I signed the papers and made my payment.
Communication between A2B Movers, the driver, and me could have been better. Payment was not made clear to me. The driver could have contacted me with more accurate travel time. The National staff that helped me were informative, patient, and friendly. Pat took my claim even though I was not prepared with some information she needed. I spoke to a gentleman later about the progress of my claim. He was reassuring. I am missing a box so I will fill out the claim form and submit it. I'm confident at this point that National will do their best to search for my i tems.
This is our 3rd move using Yarnall, and for the most part each move has been good with an exception this last move from Florida to Tn. The other moves have been local and everything went very well with them. This move was a bit different due to the fact that some of our belongings didnt make it with our delivery for some reason. I should have done the inventory check list as they brought the boxes in but after the long trip driving in our own vehicle and much work to do in the new home I was tired and with the door open on a cold day, I just wanted it to be over with. I advise everyone to check the inventory closely. I did pay a lot for this move as well since I had artwork that needed crates and one piece was damaged a little. But when I made the report of the damage to my contact person along with notice of misplaced items, I got the same answer from 3 different people to contact someone else. I had insurance on my items but have not heard back from my point person who sold m e the move. I left messages and texts. I cannot attest to what exactly was in the box or boxes that didnt arrive but I do know that items I cannot locate or find had to be among them and Im wondering what else may be in those boxes . I do have to say the packers have always done an amazing job. Ive been so busy setting up my house and trying to get established that I dont have time to call daily or try to locate the items any longer so I feel the loss is just that, A LOSS!
They were prompt, & well prepared for moving all my goods including fine furniture, a heavy toolbox, & a large safe. The move of the entire house only resulted in damage to a chair & table.
The trucks were loaded to accommodate the entire household goods & the heavy items went on a hydraulic tailgate vehicle which shows good planning.
The experience on the pickup in Mesa was very good and efficient. The truck and Crew showed up on time and had truck loaded quickly. The Crew used on delivery could be improved. They showed up late and arrived with no hand trucks. They also took a break after an hour and a half after arrival. We had to provide a hand truck and dolley. The driver gave impression that he was not responsible for obtaining crew on delivery when we expressed concern.
Marcus was very professional and stayed in touch with us throughout the packing process. My only suggestion would be to label each box with the room contents. This was done with some boxes. I realize our packing might have been challenging because we were not moving all our goods because we downsized from a home to an apartment. We were not on the receiving end of getting our household. Our daughter was there and Marcus worked well with her in delivering and unloading our goods. Everything seems to have survived the trip well except one side table that had some broken spindles but can be repaired.
Overall Jersey Shore Moving did an excellent job in moving our furniture and belongings from New Jersey to Florida. The drivers and moving personnel were all very professional and the loading and unloading process was very efficient My only reason for not giving five stars is one of the boxes containing a very expensive radio controlled model ship that took hundreds of hours to build sustained significant damage. This box was personally packed by the driver who picked up our load in New Jersey and was labelled "Top Load Only", "Fragile", "Do Not Stack". It was one of the first boxes delivered to our Florida location and arrived upside down and crushed inward. Moving personnel need to be more vigilant in looking for special instructions on boxes and not so quick just to move them in any manner they feel is appropriate. Our cane and rope couch also sustained minor damage to some of the cane on the rear side which can be repaired.
Both pick up and delivery were handled as scheduled and the price quoted was very fair and accurate for the move involved.
