We could not have asked for a better experience with our recent move. This was our first professional move and I was very apprehensive about price quotes after hearing the horror stories from friends about under quoting, holding items hostage, etc.
An American Moving representative came to my house, was very kind and knowledgeable. She took a very detailed inventory of the items and our quote felt honest and reasonable. And binding was very important.
Also, choosing local was an importan t decision factor. Our real estate agent recommended American Moving, and I cant thank her enough for that. Moving, as you know, it is an extremely stressful situation. Much more than we anticipated. The team we had were amazing. They were enjoyable, friendly, hard-working, considerate, flexible, everything that I needed them to be. The positive attitude from everyone really helped ease the anxiety .
We have not been able to unpack our items yet, but I dont feel that we will have any issue s after watching how well they packed our items.
I have names of everyone and would be happy to share those if thats possible. If someone can reach out to me, I would be happy to do that.
Basically, if we had to do it over, we wouldnt have changed a thing. We will recommend you all with 100% confidence (if its the same driver and crew that we had). Flawless from start to finish. Thank you for easing our nervous minds. Moving is no small expense, but the investment was worth every penny. We cant thank you enough.

Special thanks to Michael Hartung who promised me a seamless move and followed- through. My move was completed in a timely manner and the price was accurately estimated. Any questions I had were promptly answered and I felt that I could have access to help at every step. My true hero was Romelio Mata from BC Moving. Romelio picked up my goods from the California storage unit. He was on-time, efficient and not the least bit flustered by some difficult transitions using the facility elevator . Romelio also turned out to be the driver for our delivery to Washington state. He kept in contact with me about estimate arrival times. He and his partner navigated our furniture into the 2 locations requested, despite freezing temperatures and late hours. I had full confidence in his skills at all times.
Despite my concerns for this long-distant move, having had a bad experience in the past and listening to the horror stories of multiple friends, I have nothing but positive things to s ay. I would use this company again and would highly recommend Nationals services to others.

On time moving did a great job with my move. From the time I called I was greeted by Leda the dispatcher. She helped me with each and every step along the way. Willie and his partner were my movers and both were professional and assisted me with my move from Texas to Florida. Price was great and fair and the move was very quick. I highly recommend this company both guys did an amazing job with packing and moving my items. Communication was awesome!
The whole team was incredible. Moving is one of the most incredibly stressful times in someones life. Chayanne - the move organizer was super attentive and a great communicator. Jose Aguilar and his team were timely and gracious during the actual move process and were very personable. Thank you for such a great team!
The entire team deserves a HUGE thank you!! had never moved out of state and was nervous about how the move would turn out. I could not have been happier with the whole process. From the initial virtual walk thru to the delivery at the end you made my experience painless and stress free. Everyone was professional and did everything possible to ensure the customer was (ME) was taken care of. When the workers showed up in Largo, FL, to load our furniture, they worked fast and efficiently, and they were always polite.
After the loading was done, they stored the furniture until our apartment in Albany, NY, was ready.
Jeff Chapman was easy to work with and always answered my calls or email when I had a question.
Brenden, the driver, was great. His two helpers did well too, except in one instance. A cabinet we stored wine in came partially apart when they were unwrapping it. A worker tried to get the pressed wood to accept the plug that held a leg by slapping it with the heel of his hand. It appeared to work, but a few days later, a shelf fell, and the wine rolled out. Luckily, no bottles were broken. I determined the pressed wood had given up its ability to hold things together, so I took the cabinet apart and threw it away. Naturally I ordered another one from Amazon for about $75.00. Otherwise, everything was wrapped extremely well. No glass was broken. The wardrobes wer e very impressive on how much they could hold.
The best part was that your company paid us for a late delivery: 6 days I think it was. We got a check for $375.00.
Finally, kudos to Sue for keeping us up to date on an ETA. She always called us when she said she would. Impressive.

The movers at both ends of the journey were excellent and delivered and set up furniture expertly and in a timely manner. Aaron, the driver kept us apprised of his expected arrival to our new home in California throughout the journey. I have some comments about my experience with Derek Supple and D and D moving:
1. Mr. Supple never told us that National Van Lines was the mover and D and D Moving was the agent, so it was quite confusing to get emails from National Van Lines at the end of th e journey.
2. Upon signing the agreement, Mr. Supple quoted us $11,671.08 for the move and upon completion of the move to California, the driver presented us with a bill for $12,223.92 with no explanation for the difference.
3. Upon signing the agreement, Mr. Supple said the price would be less than the quoted price if another delivery was made in addition to our furnishings. The driver did make an additional journey to drop off furnishings to St. Louis prior to our delivery in Californi a. Not only was our price more than the quoted price on our agreement, but there was no deduction for the additional drop off in St. Louis.
4. When asked for payment of the $12,223, 92, I gave the driver my credit card only to learn that D and D did not accept credit cards only cash or checks. As we had not unpacked anything, including checkbooks, we were unable to comply with this request which put Aaron, the driver in a difficult situation. He had to spend time with Mr. Supple arguing ou r case. Mr, Supple reluctantly said we could mail him the check for $12,223.92.
This was a very upsetting experience, haggling with Mr. Supple, at a time which should have been a more pleasant experience moving into our new home.
In conclusion, I would not recommend D and D moving because of our very unpleasant experience with Mr. Supple.
