I greatly appreciated Madalyn's availability during the entire moving process. She was a great help and advocated for me when an issue arose. Praise for her and the moving team. Thanks so much. Donna Cornwell

I had a really great experience with National Van Lines. Their pricing was extremely competitive, and my sales rep, Eric, was terrific throughout the entire process. He was proactive in his communication, very transparent about where I could save money or secure discounts, and guided me from securing quotes all the way to when my belongings were delivered. I secured over 10 quotes from various moving companies as I tried to find the most value, but also the most confidence. I'll be honest, the m oving industry is filled with scams, shady brokers, and wildly inconsistent and inaccurate pricing. Eric and National Van Lines were the only ones that made me feel like an actual human and worked with me, instead of making me feel like they were trying to take advantage of me. Their pricing was extremely fair, their service was professional and as advertised, and they were flexible and understanding even when I had to pivot delivery locations. I think we can all agree that moving is not a f un or enjoyable process. However, if I'm going to have to do it again, my first call will more than likely be to National Van Lines.

I had a great moving experience with Allen/Allan. He was very quick and efficient. However, I did not appreciate my agent/moving company not being proactive in getting parking permits for my move. With a bit of research, they could have acquired it and added it to my bill instead of threatening to charge me $4,000 extra dollars to put my items in storage since they did not get the permits. It should not be on the customer to get the permits.

My move with National Van Lines was as smooth as I could ask for. We moved several states away and with National Van Lines it went exactly as planned. They picked up our household goods on time, delivered them on time and didnt raise the price from the estimate given. All of the workers were friendly and polite. Would recommend to a friend.

Everything showed up in good condition, which is the most important thing. The cost came in right about where the estimate said it would be. The reason I can't give 5 stars is the timing. We were given a 3-day window for delivery, but after the truck was loaded we found out the driver wasn't even leaving town until the day before the window started (and it was 1,000 miles away) so there was no way to make the first day of the window. It arrived 5 days after the end of the window. We were re imbursed for hotels and 50% of food costs which is good. However, if we had been even one day late on being able to receive the delivery we would have been charged over $5,000 plus additional charges per day. Had they moved the window from the start, we could have travelled differently; as it was we had to be here just in case they arrived in the window to avoid that huge cost. Basically, we assumed all the risk in the scheduling - $5,000 to us if we are off one day, ~$150 for them if they ar e. The driver knew when he would probably get there, but the contract didn't reflect that. My recommendation would be for them to communicate with drivers better to provide more realistic expected delivery dates.

we have 3 items damaged have not heard back on repair
Markus
Mark was great. He had a good attitude and extremely impressive work ethic. The reason I give 4 not 5 stars is that on the pick up /packing of the truck his worker did not show up so he moved it all himself. He did not complain and got the job done. But due to the nature of moving large items solely by yourself it took longer and less attention was paid (as is the case if you are by yourself - not Mark's fault). Still, everything arrived and on time. In the future I would be more encouraged to u se National if they properly staffed their teams because ultimately this situation was least fair to Mark himself.

Overall we had our stuff come by the end of the destined period of time. Unfortunately, our stuff were not wrapped well . we ended up losing our TV screen to an inadequate wrapping. The screen was unloaded literally with no wrap whatsoever. Many boxes was re-taped. I was under the impression that they will take our stuff directly in the same van to its destination but I came to learn that they hired another company to transfer from a warehouse where our things were dumped there. I would recomm end you do your own wrapping, and search before hiring the company. It is not worth paying a penny for insurance, because they only cover damages more than a 1 thousand dollars. If you can avoid moving across the nation with big stuff with NVL maybe safer, a shorter move may have less likelihood of missing your things. Do not rely on them wrapping or boxing. Invest in good boxes of your own.

All of the people that we spoke with at NVL and it affiliates couldnt be nicer and more helpful. We had to move sooner than expected and needed to rely on friends to help as we were already out of state. Everyone at NVL was extremely helpful and wanting to make the move as stress-free as possible. However, our items arrived there were several problems. First, a wooden sculpture was never wrapped and thus arrived damaged. It is a unique piece made especially for us and is irreplaceable le. Also, there was supposed to be a specially married box with the parts to our treadmill and elliptical; however, the box was not kept separate and so we have a delay until those pieces of equipment can be put together. I was also told that several other items were not wrapped. As our house is still being renovated I will be unable to see all the items moved to our new house until the beginning of April. At that time I will have a better idea if there are other items not properly wrapped.

There was a bit of a communication error at the beginning, but was overall satisfied with my movers and the cost of my move.

We are missing a small step ladder and a few odds and ends. On the whole the move went smoothly but the delivery was delayed a couple of days because of truck problems. The people were nice and helpful.
